Young Researchers Contest : Authors Section
DEADLINE DATES FOR YOUR DIARY !
Submission of abstracts : 15 June, 2013
Submission of texts : 15 October 2013
The Organisation Committee of Jicable HVDC'13 is setting up a Young Researchers Contest to encourage the participation of students and young researchers and promote professions of the cable. Full-time engineering and science university students and researchers complying with the eligibility criteria are invited to submit abstracts of their research work. The topic of the abstract should fall within one of the programme categories listed below related to materials for HVDC cables and accessories. Authors whose abstracts are selected will be invited to present their papers, explain their poster and answer questions at Jicable HVDC'13
The objective of the seminar Jicable HVDC'13 is to present the state of knowledge on the behaviour of materials for HVDC cables and accessories. It will first address the physical behaviour, physic-chemical and electrical properties of these materials: dielectric, space charges, interfaces, ageing, reliability,... It will then discuss the results of modelling studies and the relationship between modelling and behaviour of materials to clarify the role of tests: investigation, qualification, reception, control in operation,...
A – Dielectric behaviour
B – Materials characterisation (electric, physical and chemical)
C – Phenomena associated at the interfaces
D – Space charge measurements (interfaces and materials)
E – Ageing and reliability
F – Simulation and numerical models
G – Testing: investigation, development, …
Students or Researchers less than 28 years old.
All abstracts for proposed papers are to be sent in English to the Jicable HVDC'13 YRC secretariat by email (as an attachment using .doc format (2003 or 2007) according to the instructions and the template available for download by the deadline: 15 June 2013. The abstract should be adequately detailed and present a synopsis of the paper (500 words maximum, one or two pages) emphasizing on any new idea, with its title, authors's names, their affiliations and emails.
It is mandatory to use the template and detailed instructions available for download from authors section.
Authors whose papers are accepted will be informed by the end of June 2013. Full texts in English must be received by the Jicable HVDC'13 YRC Secretariat not later than October 15th, 2013. The conference programme will be finalized by 15 July 2013. Selected papers will be presented at the poster session "young Researchers" of Jicable HVDC'13 YRC.
Selected authors will be exempt from conference registration fees, and will also receive a grant of € 380 to help their participation.
Papers / Posters will be reviewed by a jury during the conference. The authors of the three best papers / Posters, will receive prizes respectively of € 1,500 (first prize), € 1,000 (second prize) and € 500 (third prize).
Selected papers will appear in the Jicable HVDC’13 CD ROM.
